by Brian Katsis on October 06, 2015 in Video Production with Comments Off

Videos have become an important part of marketing strategies over the past couple of years. Video content has ranged from viral videos to how-to videos to boost an organization’s brand image or push a product/service. Whatever your need may be, a marketing plan is never the same for everyone. Depending on your audience or industry you’ll use different techniques and mediums.

In regards to creative video content and its application to a marketing plan, here are some reason’s you should consider integrating video into your plan/strategy.

  1. Video content provides a fresh way to reach your audience.

Many people pick up new information better visually. It is easier sometimes to be memorable if your audience can see what you are trying to say. Viral videos are helpful in leaving an impression with potential clients. If the plan is to make how-to tutorials, creating the in video format helps present the information in a way the audience will understand better. That way they can see you do it and it also adds some credibility to you brand. How? It adds credibility by showing that you’re not just writing something up but you’re taking the time to go through it and explain something to them.

  1. Creative Videos give your audience a better chance to be involved with your website.

Visual content is always a great way to engage your audience with your content. It can boost your SEO as well because depending on the length of the video, they hang around your website longer, lowering your bounce rate. In addition if your content is really good, it will encourage them to go through your website and try and find more intriguing content from you.

Videos reach more ppl

  1. Videos help build useful backlinks.

When hosted on YouTube videos tend to have better SEO, because YouTube is owned by Google, so everything on the site is indexed. Linking or embedding your YouTube video on your website, gives it a significant backlink that will help with your overall ranking.

  1. Videos reach more people faster

Videos are easy to share and watch. If someone likes something in your videos there’s a good chance they will share it with their friends. This is not to say they won’t share a blog post by you, but sometimes people would rather be watching something than read about it. There’s a higher chance of reaching a much larger audience.

With everything talked about above it is important to note that with the pros creative video content comes with, there are also cons when not used properly. For your brand and website to be successful, you don’t want to solely use videos. Make sure you’re using some engagement as well as traditional content on your website. Brainstorm different ideas for your videos and always make sure you’re passion for your craft shows through
